Clockwork Orange Playlist

A few people have been asking about our new main room format at Clockwork Orange. It's nothing drastic, just a bit of a change.

Clockwork Orange has always been about the music you grew up to, and by playing only 80's, it's been a club thats more geared for your parents, then for an 18 & over crowd that we should appeal to.

We've updated the format by adding what used to be played in the front room at the Ruby, Old School Electro Clash, Classic Indie, and just a few Nineties tunes. To be a successful weekly club, it has to be a different experience every week. It's still 75% Eighties, now with many more options of music to mix in.

It all fits together really well, and we hope you support the change. Here is the playlist from last Friday at Clockwork Orange...

Simple Minds - Don't You (Forget About Me)
Visage - Fade To Grey
The Smiths - How Soon Is Now
Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Y Control
Phoenix - 1901
Depeche Mode - Its No Good
The Cure - Fascination Street
Joy Division - Transmission
Real Life - Send Me An Angel
B-Movie -Nowhere Girl
Flock Of Seagulls - I Ran
Chrystal Castles - Crimewave
New Order - Bizarre Love Triangle
Soft Cell - Tainted Love
She Wants Revenge - Tear You Apart
Interpol - Slow Hands
Dramarama - Anything Anything
Depeche Mode - Personal Jesus
Ladytron - Destroy Everything You Touch
Dexy's Midnight Runners - Come On Eileen
The Cure - Just Like Heaven
The Killers - Mr Brightside
The Smiths - Ask
Nine Inch Nails - Head Like A Hole
Madonna - Hung Up
Technotronic - Pump Up The Jam
Altered Images - Happy Birthday (Big Bribe Request)
Trans X - Living On A Video
Sir Mix A Lot - Baby Got Back
Dr Dre - The Next Episode
Prince - Kiss
Blondie - Call Me
Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Date With The Night
The Strokes - Reptillia
Billy Idol - Dancing With Myself
Kim Wilde - Kids In America
OMD - Electricity
Daft Punk - One More Time
Robin S - Show Me Love
Eurythmics - Sweet Dreams
New Order - Blue Mondays
Calvin Harris - You Used To Hold Me
The Cure - Boys Don't Cry
Joy Division - Love Will Tear Us Apart

Flock Of Seagulls - Space Age Love Song

It was fun!

Firebeatz

Miniman starts with a progressive house sound, which includes a variety of light synths, then peaks at the drop, which turns it in to a high-energy bass filled track. Firebeatz is comprised of Holland natives Tim and Jurre. Their remixes along with original tracks such as “Where’s Your Head At” and “Funky Shit” have been played by a lot of big name DJ’s such as Knife Party, Sander Van Doorn, and Steve Aoki.

Firebeatz - Miniman

Sultan & Ned Shepard

The song of the year... so far. If you're into Electro & Progressive House, this is one of the better songs I've heard in a while. Been playing it for two weeks at Blue Mondays, and every time people com up and ask about it. Download this for sure! -Bruce Perdew

Sultan & Ned Shepard Feat. Quilla - Walls (Original Mix) ★★★

Lift Off

“Lift Off” is the new single from LA Riots, who just got back from rocking two straight weekends of Coachella. In fact, Riots have been a main stage mainstay from day one, dropping high octane bangers from festival stages and megaclub DJ booths around the globe while remixing everyone from Lady Gaga to Lana Del Rey.

Clockwork Orange has always been about the music you grew up to, and by playing only 80's, it's been geared to a crowd thats now in it's mid 40's. Not your typical crowd that wants to go dancing now-a-days.

To be a successful weekly club, it has to be a different experience every week. It's still 75% Eighties, now with many more options of music to mix in.

Naked & The Famous

Tiesto has just released Club Life Volume Two Miami, the second installment of his mix album series featuring original collaborations with Wolfgang Gartner & Swanky Tunes, as well as a top notch remix collaboration with Hardwell, a hometown buddy from Breda, Holland.

The Naked And The Famous - Young Blood (Tiesto & Hardwell Remix)
Tiesto & Swanky Tunes - Make Some Noise (Original Mix)

Kontiki

If the original mix doesn't hit hard enough for your liking, I can assure you Dyro is here to help. Taking an already epic lead synth and adding his own touch to it on the drop, Dyro's "Kontiki" remix is our favorite.

Hardwell & Dannic - Kontiki (Dyro Mix)

Bad Ass!!!

Azealia Banks ft Lazy Jay - 212 (Tommie Sunshine & Disco Fries Edit)

Language

It's hard to believe this guy is only 19-years-old. The new release from Porter Robinson is nothing short of what was expected, he has successfully blended this track into a rollercoaster of sound, taking the listener from lows to highs effortlessly.

The track is beautifully dreamy, but still manages to evoke the urge to get up and dance. "Language" is non-invasive, yet it is instilled with a sublime electronic foundation and vibe.

Head Like A Hole

I'm usually not too big on remixes of classics songs, but this Mustache Riot remix of Nine Inch Nails gets it right. They take the quintessential Industrial tune and give it a modern electro feel. -Bruce Perdew
