Calling (Lose My Mind)

Big drop today, and finally we have the real song which we have been waiting for! Today we can present to you – Lose My Mind, the vocal mix of the huge club anthem that is Calling – by one third of Swedish House Mafia – Seb Ingrosso, alongside fellow countryman Alesso. Vocals are pretty huge on this track… Sound familiar? they come from Grammy award winning, One Republic frontman, Ryan Tedder. He adds a completely new spin on a track you probably heard a hell of a lot last year, making it fresh and ready to be cranked up in the club again.

Long Lost Eighties

Long before "Don't You (Forget About Me)" came out...

Simple Minds fourth single was released at a time when they were still experimenting with an exciting and energetic sound. This was long before they developed the more recognised stadium sound, and used producers who would insist on an over-polished production.

I travel featured on Simple Minds’ brilliant third studio album Empires And Dance. The song failed to chart, but this was mainly due to the band’s record label (Arista) limiting the availablity of the album, which peaked at #41 in the UK charts. Not surprisingly, the band ditched Arista and moved over to the Virgin label where commercial success would soon follow.

Don't You (Forgot About Clockwork Orange) this Friday!

Modek

Within the realm of upbeat raging techno there are a few names you should know, one of which is Modek. His song Willow is released under Lektroluv Records, and features the two title tracks which both serve up different flavors of techno. The first, Willow, features penetrating bass and some excellent haunting synth work. Dust is techno of the Oizo variety – quirky synths mixed with scratches. Keep your ears on Modek.
